Social identity is a big tomato in the United States high school system. I live in northeast Ohio, so I'll go with what I know. When people complain about it, I wonder why. There is no inequality really. Each of the groups fills its own particular niche in the market, so to speak.
I find that each group is waging war, if that is the correct analogy, with each other, not over any actual inequalities, but more about perceived social inequalities, especially the antagonism between 'jocks' and 'nerds/geeks"
Okay, I just realized that this topic has been done TO DEATH, so I'm just gonna stop here.

rofl, the topic has been done to death, but i don't think anyone has done it about north east ohio. i think we live in an almost unique atmosphere, as the groups aren't really antagonistic toward each other, they just don't socialize with one another. its actually really nice.
